It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stewart H Anderson (Stu) of Chance Cove, NL. Passed peacefully away at Lions Manor Nursing Home in Placentia, NL on Saturday Oct 11th, 2025. Predeceased by his son Perry, parents James and Louise, brothers Roy (Bernice), Kevin (Fronie) and niece TrudyAnn. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Lynn of 41 years. His children Stirling, Nadine(Ron), Claudine(Mark), Darren (Erin), Karen(John), Donna, Judy (Mike). Stu will also be lovingly remembered by his brothers Ivan (Maxine), Berkley (Christine) his sisters Lydia (Eric) Judy (Karl). As well as numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He will always be remembered by his friends and family for his love of the outdoors whether it be fishing or hunting. His sharing of many adventures over the years gave us all laughs and memories forever. Special thank you going out to the entire staff at Lions Manor Nursing Home for their excellent care and kindness. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23nd, 2;00 pm at The Ascension Anglican Church, Chance Cove, NL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Stu’s memory can be made to The Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador

Patricia Dobbin
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, St. John’s, surrounded by her loving family, Patricia Dobbin (Mercer) of Whitbourne age 75 years. Predeceased by her loving husband of 53 years, Nicholas Dobbin, her parents Mary and William Mercer, brother John. Parents in law Annie and Vincent Dobbin, sister and brother in law Bride and Ray Verge and brother in law Kevin Dobbin. Leaving to mourn her loving daughter Joan and favorite son in law Mike, special grandson Steven (Britney, to which she thought of as a granddaughter), sisters Goldie(Kevin)Mercer, Betty(Arch)Janes, and Flo(Ken) Edmonds. Sister in law Kathleen(Dave) Mercer, Angela Dobbin, George(Linda), Dave(Brenda), Gary(Renee), number of nephews, nieces and cousins. Special long life family friends Susie Gilliam and Jean Smith, also her dart buddies, her special fur baby Toby and also fur babies Jersey, Jake and Layla. Cremation has taken place as per Patricia’s wishes, there will be no services or funeral at this time. Special thank you going out to Dr. Randell, 5th floor and ICU nurses, Carbonear hospital, also a special thank you to Dr. O’Brien her team and nurses at ICU, St. Clare’s.
