MERCER, Susie, Passed peacefully away at Lions Manor Seniors Home in Placentia,NL September 12,2014, Susie Florence Mercer of Blaketown,NL age 95 years.Affectionately known to young and old as Aunt Susie.
Predeceased by husband Harold, son George, daughter Leta and grandson Selby. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories daughter-in-law Margaret and their 4 children, Winston and daughter-in-law Vera and their 3 children, son-in-law Gow and their 3 children, daughter Lillian (Pat who mother nicknamed mick) and Lillian`s 4 children, son Fred (Bernadette) and 5 children, Joe (Pam) and their one child, Margaret (Rick) and their 2 children, 29 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and a very large circle of family and friends. Aunt Susie was the last of her own family members and the last remaining aunt on the Mercer side.
Resting at Holloway`s Funeral Home Whitbourne. Visitation on Saturday, Sept.13 ..7:00 - 9:30 pm. Sunday, 10:00 am - 9:30 pm. Monday 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Funeral service to be held at St.Barnabas Anglican Church , Blaketown on Monday, September 15 at 2:00 pm with interment to follow at St.Barnabas Anglican Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St.Barnabas Memorial Fund. Hold tight to the memories of her past for a smile to the future she will forever last.

|The Mercer Family. Sorry to hear of aunt Susie passing. Will always remember her as a kind person.As a child growing up she always had a slice of jam bread ready for us every time we would visit.Thinking of you today.

|To the Mercer family sorry to hear of your moms passing she was a sweet lady who I had the pleasure of looking after as her home care worker and even though she could not stand the thought of home care she did enjoy the company she was funny loved to go out to her green house she will be missed

|To my cousins & your families. I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of aunt susie. She was always so special to all of us kids when we were growing up. As Bertha said, she always had that slice of jam (or lassie) bread to give us when we visited.
