VOKEY, Julie Ann ( nee Antle )- November 12, 1925 - February 24, 2012. Passed peacefully away at Harbour Lodge Nursing Home, Carbonear, Julie Ann Vokey, formerly of Markland.
She is predeceased by her husband Gordon Vokey, parents Adeline and Joshua Antle, four sisters ( brothers-in-law ), Eliza ( Reuben Vaters ), Doris ( Jack Griffin ), Violet, Sarah ( Eric Tizzard), three brothers ( sisters-in-law ), William ( Ann ), Hedley (MAry), Ivor (Elizabeth).brother-in-law Reginald Heath.
Left with precious and loving memories her sisters: Valera Heath and Evelyn Bastow. She will also be remembered with love by a large number of nieces and nephews, many other family members, wonderful friends as well as staff and residents of Harbour Lodge Nursing Home
and Shag Rock Manor, Whiteway.
Resting at Holloway`s Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation Saturday , Feb 25, 7:00- 9:30 pm. Sunday, Feb 26, 2:00 - 5:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Monday Feb. 27, 10:00 am-1:00pm.
The Funeral service will be held from Trinity United Church, Blaketown on Monday Feb 27, at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at St.John the Baptist Anglican Cemetery, Whitbourne.
As expressions of sympathy, flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Newfoundland and Labrador.

| Our condolences to Julie's family on her passing. We have been friends with Julie for many years and had always enjoyed the time we spent together. Julie had a great sense of humour and was a bit mischievous. She was a very kind lady and didn't have a bad word to say about anyone. We will miss Julie a lot but have many fond memories that we will treasure forever. We know that heaven has another angel who will watch over us from above. May Julie rest in peace.

| It is with deep sorrow and sincere regret that we heard of Julie's passing this morning. We will forever remember her for the kind and gentle person that she was. Our many visits to the Pentecostal Home in Clarke"s Beach and Shag Rock Manor were always enriched with the time spent with Doris and Julie. Their loving and thoughtful expressions were a constant source of strength to all who knew them.They always spoke highly of family, friends and staff. This is how we remember her today and will forever cherish her humour and wisdom. Rest assured if we were not in Tennessee we would be in Blaketown on Monday. God Bless! |

I am the grandaughter of Julie & Jim Parsons (Salmon Cove)My mother Florence Payne, her sisters (Evelyn Harnett) (Ina Davidson) & brother Harvey Parsons visited Julie & Doris every summer & looked forward to their visit to Markland.
