Dad, we may have been far apart geographically but I thought about you everyday . Cyril and your grandchildren talk about the fun times they had with you all the time. You will be missed more then you could ever know. I am thankful I was able to see and hear from you in videos at least. You're very much loved and will be greatly missed by your Baby Catherine and Cyril, grandchildren: James wife Ellie and great granddaughter Isabella, Matthew wife Adrielle and great granddaughter Kalayna , and your Granddaughter Jenna .

Larry, Bob, Marshall and Cathy, I am so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. Your parents were amazing people and their kindness and our memories of them will never be forgotten. Laura and I speak of them often and she cherishes the time she had with them both so please know they are always in our thoughts.

Marshall, accept my sincere condolences on the death of your Dad. I’m thinking of you at this difficult time.

Dad was always giving back to the community everywhere he was stationed with the RCAF. He participated with various RCAF Marching Bands travelling with them and giving performances all over Europe while stationed in Germany. He was also very involved in the Scouting movement while there. In Greenwood he coached a number of RCAF sectional teams in hockey, always the one to wear his leather fedora, which was his trademark at the arena. In Gander he umpired men's Fast Pitch softball for a number of years. He was also an avid, but not always successful hunter, and fisherman. He loved walking in the woods. He taught us all many things when we were children, but first and foremost, be honest, respect our fellow citizens and give a hand where you can. Dad treated my children, Courtney and Adam with a good ear and lots of patience, and they remember him for that also. Unfortunately he didn't get to meet my extended family children, Ashley, Charles and all his great grand kids, Myles, Luke, Easton, Axel and Madelyn, and a new addition arriving in March 2021. Thank-you for being there and teaching us what you did. I have lots of memories to hold close and attempt to pass on to my grandkids what you taught to us. Good-bye Dad. Thank-you. There are no words to express my sorrow on hearing of Gerald's passing. He was one of 2584 Whitbourne Army Cadet Corps biggest supporters and a great mentor and friend to me. A true gentleman, so many stories. My heart is so sad this evening. Much love to all of you xx

Dad, where do I begin, where do I end. You have taught me so much. You have been there for me in good times and bad. We all know I gave you a run for your money when it came to trouble. You treated family, friends and strangers all alike, with kindness and always there to help. I am thankful for all the life lessons you taught us and the strong work ethic you instilled in us all. I am so glad you had the opportunity to meet Lana and we had the chance to visit you. I have so many memories that I will always hold close. My daughter Justine will always have fond memories of dad. I have fond memories of Mr. Drover when I was in NFLD to meet Rob (Bob) ‘s family. I was so happy to have the time to spend with Mr. Drover, he welcomed me into the family with many hugs a few wonderful gifts that I cherish. I only wish my boys had a chance to meet him but with so many miles it was not possible. My condolences to the Drover Clan, as this is a difficult time and he will be missed forever. Gerald Curtis Drover passed away this past weekend and left behind his extended family to morn his passing. He left behind his Children and grandchildren who all had a strong connection with him even if they had not seen each other in several years. He taught me to fish, hunt and snare rabbits. We enjoyed time together being in the woods enjoying life. My wonderful wife Michelle thought a lot of dad and always enjoyed hearing about him in my stories. My Daughter Laura is married to Robert Gee and has two children, Tyler and Ashley. Dad help raise Laura and loved her very much. Next is Stephen Drover and his new bride Melissa, they always said they wanted to go down there to see dad and the whole place. My youngest, Michael, (Ruby) Drover. Dad had always wanted him to be himself/ herself no matter what others thought of him/ her. My family is missing the chance to learn so many of dads great life lessons that others have had the benefit of learning. Rest In Peace Dad. We love you very much. Robert Donald Jerrett Drover.

I’ll miss all the great stories you’d tell me and all of the outrageous things you’d say when you’d start losing at crib. You made every time I was with you memorable. I wish we could get the time back to go fishing and make more of those memories but I’ll always cherish the ones we have.

Mr. Drover, I tried calling you Gerry one of the last times we met, it didn't work for me, you'll always be Mr. Drover to me, out of the respect and admiration I have for you. Thank you for raising wonderful, hard working kids, thank you most for raising your baby (Catherine), I am forever grateful. I am also forever grateful for your love and support that you have shown me from the very first day we met. I am beyond saddened by your passing, I'll miss the many days sharing your company, whether it be fishing, hunting, golfing, the countless hours playing crib and sharing our stories of which there were many, I appreciated how you listened to me. You've been a great friend and the best father in law I could ever hope for. I remember you praying at the foot of your bed, I remember you reading your bible and the countless people coming to your house to have you pray with them. I pray that you may rest in peace and one day we can be together again forever. Thank you for everything and I'll miss you Mr. Drover!

Grandpa, I will miss all the good times we had playing Crib and fishing. You always had the worst jokes but I always thought they were funny any way. You were so good to us as kids. I wish we spent more time together as I grew up. Thanks for everything you taught me and I hope you rest in peace now. Love you Grandpa, you are missed.
