• Frances Margaret Warren

    April 1, 2021
  • With profound sadness we announce the passing of Frances Margaret Warren (Nee-Quinton) passed peacefully away on March 31st, 2021 in her 80th year surrounded by family. Frances Warren was born on December 26th, 1940 and is preceded in death by her Parents Edward Kenlen-Quinton and Mary-Jane Quinton, In-Laws Albert and Mariam Warren. Husband William Gerald Warren, brothers; Jack, Sam, and Lloyd. Sisters; Edith, Kate, and Daisy. Leaving to mourn, sister Delilah Fry.
Frances was the beloved mother of Ken (Lori), Bert (Susan), and Kay (Joe). Proud grandmother of Liz (Kenny), Steve (Melissa), Lisa, Craig (Candace), Cory (Jessica), and Izzy. Frances had five great-grandchildren, Braeden, Ella, Claire, Scott, and Allison.
Frances lived a full life and if you ask, she was the best bread maker, pastry maker, and storyteller around!! All who knew her loved her dearly, they will never forget her wit, sense of humor, highly skilled knitting techniques and delicious jigs’ supper! Frances was a dedicated mother first and foremost and treasured her children while embracing every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a grandmother and played a big part in each of their lives. Making the most delicious bread they all loved, tucking them in at their many sleepovers, and kissing scrapped knees.

We have such great memories of Frances, such a beautiful lady n always spoke her mind and so funny. She was a great cook n made the best pastry. I begged her to stop making the chocolate chip cake cause I couldn’t stop eating it. She was kind n loved her family. They were the most important people in her life. Wonderful mother n grandmother. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. RIP Frances

So very sad to hear this news. Frances was so much a part of my childhood with so many fond memories of the hours and hours and days spent with Kay during our childhood years traipsing up the hill. So many sleepovers and meals, always feeding us. Never hungry. From soothing my horror at the turkeys being slaughtered in the yard to ghost stories of the potatoes on the basement stairs, she was always so involved making our day to day adventures fun including a lot of teasing - I was always Trudy Pig-shit to her with a big grin in fun. My favourite memory was her singing to us/with us at the kitchen table at the top of our lungs - My Ding a Ling. Only as an adult do I understand the words to that song. May loving thoughts be with everyone during this time. Sending a big hug and my deepest, deepest sympathy to you all- Kay, Bert and Ken and all your families.
