    June 20, 1950 – March 16, 2023
    Neil passed peacefully away in the presence of his family at JPMH in Gander on Thursday, March 16, 2023.
    Predeceased by Parents Mildred and Howard Spurrell of Whitbourne.
    Left with special memories are siblings Andrea (Herb), Cupids, John (Cathy), Gander, Carl, Mackinsons, Lynn, Whitbourne, Margot (Roger) Carbonear, and Heather, Mission, BC as well as a number of nieces and nephews and dear family friend Beverley Collins, Whitbourne.
    Very special thanks to all of his caregivers especially Myra and Boyd Hicks with whom he resided for more than 30 years. Neil was treated like family in their home.
    Arrangements entrusted to Holloways Funeral Home, Whitbourne, NL
    A private funeral service has been arranged.
    In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Neil’s memory to the Janeway Children’s Hospital.

    To the Family of Neil , So very sorry to hear of Neil’s passing. It’s been many years since My day’s living in Whitbourne and my remembrance of Neil. I remember him well. May you be comforted in knowing he’s with his Mom and Dad who so lovingly cared for him for as long as they were able. Our thoughts and prayers are with you this difficult time. May God bless you.
