Norman Maxwell Thorne

It is with great sorrow we announce the passing of Norman Maxwell Thorne (White). Age 82 years.

Lovingly missed by his wife and best friend of almost 60 years, Neta (Vinie). Daughters, Susan(Bert), Lorelei(John). Grandchildren, Lisa, Craig(Candace), Sydney(Brandon) and Kenzie. Great Grandchildren, Claire and Allison, and beloved sister Alfreda.

Dad loved bugging his childhood friend Ed Newhook (Leaf’s lost again), loved going cod fishing with son in law Bert, berry picking and trouting with the wife, having a game of crib or scrabble (in which we usually lost), but mostly just being with his family. He was a highly intelligent man who could pull facts out of nowhere, rhyme off a phone number from 40 years ago, and debate with you till the sun come up. Most of all he was a kind, caring man who had no regrets.

“Laugh it off.”  “Bring it on.”
