Keith Murray Harwood

July 8, 1946 – August 4, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Keith Murray
Harwood at Carbonear General Hospital after a courageous battle with
cancer.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario, Keith moved to Newfoundland in
2001, where he owned and operated Moorlands Ultramar, a place well known
in the community. He had a love for sailing, golfing, watching movies and
cheering on the beloved Toronto Maple Leafs (when they won). Keith also
cherished the companionship of his little cat, Rosie, who rarely left his side.
Keith leaves behind his devoted wife of 33 years, Rosalind, and his loving
children: Gino, Jason (Janice), Ron (Jennifer), Tara, Kal (Kim), Adam
(Stephanie), Kristi (Trevor) and Kendra (Teddy). He was also a proud
grandfather to 16 grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Ken Harwood; brothers Leo
and Scott Harwood; mother and father-in-laws; Ella Harnum, Nelson Harnum
and Malcolm Drover; and brother-in-law Wade Drover.
Keith will be fondly remembered for his kind and generous spirit and was
always willing to help anyone in need. Many special memories were made
with friends Carl Knight, Terry Snow and Scott Barrett. The family wishes to
extend heartfelt thanks to his special sister-in-law Dackenic Drover for her
love, help and support over the past year.
As an avid lover of animals, Keith’s family kindly requests that donations be
made to the SPCA in his memory, in lieu of flowers.
Visitation will be held at Holloway’s Funeral Home in Whitbourne on
Monday, August 11, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. A service to celebrate
his life will take place on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at
Holloway’s Funeral Home, 33A Cabot Avenue, Whitbourne.  Cremation has taken place.
