It is with deep love and sadness that we share the peaceful passing of Arthur (Wesley) Piercey on April 30, 2025, at the Placentia Health Centre. Wesley was 93 years old and surrounded by care and compassion in his final moments.

Wesley was predeceased by his devoted wife, Alfreda Piercey, his parents Fred and Maggie Piercey, his sister Cecily, his daughter Pansy Bernice, and son-n-laws Maurice Butt and Richard Schappert.

Wesley was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Justin Piercey, Maggie Butt, Matthew Butt, Bradley Schappert, Grant Traverse, Michael Traverse, and Eli Piercey, as well as by his great-grandchildren Kayden, Taylor, Colten and Braxton.

A man of quiet wisdom and immense heart, Wesley found peace and joy in the woods, especially with a fishing rod in hand. He was the kindest man we’ve ever known — gentle, strong, and always present with unwavering love. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his legacy will live on in the lives he shaped with patience, humour, and deep care.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful staff at Callingwood Downs Retirement Residence, where Dad lived with dignity and comfort for the past six years. We are also deeply grateful to the exceptional team at Placentia Health Centre for their compassionate care and support during his final days.

We would also like to thank all of Dad’s extended family and friends for their ongoing love and support. Your kindness has been a source of strength during this time.
