It is with great sadness, the family of Ernest Rayfield Thorne Jr., announce his sudden passing on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
Predeceased by his mother Annie, father Rayfield, brothers Eldridge and Lloyd, brother-in-law Dave and sister-in-law Marjorie.
Ern is leaving to mourn his partner, Andrea and siblings, Dorcas, Bill, Rhoda (Ted), Eva (Jim), Janet (Wes), Andy (Hilda), Alfreda (Andrew), Levi (Shirlene), Lily (Len) and sister-in-law Lily. Also best friend of many years Alvin (Florence) as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Ern was a loving, kind and hardworking man. He was always ready to lend a helping hand and greeted everyone with a smile. Ern had a loving way with the smallest of creatures. He loved all animals, the outdoors, trouting, walking and cod jigging. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be announced.
