It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, father, grand-father, brother, uncle and friend to many, Craig David Pretty on September 16th, 2025, at the age of 61.
Craig passed away peacefully at the Health Science Hospital in St. John’s, surrounded by his beloved family.
He was predeceased by his father, Charles L. Pretty; his brother, Gary L. Pretty; and his infant niece, Charlee-Rae Pretty.
Craig will be forever missed by his loving mother, Bertha Pretty; his cherished daughters Sara (Kenneth), Nadine (Alex), Samantha, and their mother, Sharon Newhook; his six precious grandchildren: Kayden, Thomas, Nicholas, Alexandra, Tanner, and Riley; sisters Sarah (Cobe) and Sherry (Chad); brothers Keith (Judy), Scott (Marie), and Ross (Monique); as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Cremation has taken place as per Craig’s wishes.
A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 20th, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Holloway’s Funeral Home in Whitbourne.
A memorial service for family members to honour his life is scheduled for Sunday, September 21st, 2025.

I Meet Craig working up on the together on the 401 a couple years back. Kinda funny story to it to when he said his ladt name was Pretty I looked at him and said my Great Grandmother was a Pretty before she was married and she was from South Dildo. I went and asked a cousin who is doing the Background on the Reid family and he looked at his files he had and he sent me a couple names and I went back to Craig and showed him the names and he was speechless that his Great Grandfather Pretty and my Great Grandmother were brother and sister, his Great grandfather was one of a twin. Craig and I talked from time to time after we left up away.
