Lorne, Patty, and all the Russell family,
I was so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. Mrs. Russell held a very special place in my heart. When I lived in Corner Brook as a young child, we visited Heatherton almost every weekend. The highlight of those visits was going to the movies at the theatre your mom and dad owned. Those are memories I have always treasured.
Thinking of all of you at this very sad time. Moms are so very special, and I hope the many wonderful memories you shared bring you comfort in the days ahead.
Take care, and God bless.
Sorry to hear of your mom’s passing.
Our sincere condolences to your family

To Dereck, Lola , Dale , Doreen and the rest of Martha’s extended family my condolences
Such a wonderful person and a role model for all. Martha was a matriarch for her family and example of someone who managed immense difficulties . Knowing her over the past 35 years has been a joy and our visits were always inspiring to me . She and Cyril were a wonderful couple who looked after each other. As a family you did a magnificent job of caring for her in her own home latterly –her wishes. She had a wonderful life that we should celebrate despite our sadness. Truly a life well lived .
Take care

To all of Martha’s family: I am so sorry for all our loss. What a remarkable life!
When looking back I was privileged to have spent many good time with Martha and family.
The wonderful hope that we have for the future held out to us in the Bible.
Our Creator did not intend for humans to live just 70 or 100 years on earth and then move on to spend an eternity in another realm. His original purpose was for his human creation to live forever right here on earth as his obedient children. This grand purpose is an expression of God’s love for humankind, and it will not be thwarted. Reassuringly, the inspired psalmist declared: “The righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.”—Psalm 37:29. We also have the promise God cannot lie.
