Robert Clarke: May 17,1932 – August 6,2026
It is with heavy heart that we, the family of Robert James Clarke (Bob), announce his passing at the age of 94 years.
Predeceased by his wife Agnes (nee Smith), son Robert, daughter Karen Audrey Linehan, son-in-laws John Hepditch and Warrick Hoskins. Also his parents Harry and Martha, six siblings Mary, Audrey, Ruby, Bessie, Violet, and Selby, as well as his special friend Bill Peddle.
Leaving to mourn his brother Silas (Jean), daughters Debbie (Garry), Valerie, Cindy, Melanie, and sons Terry (Nancy) and Steve (Erika), daughter- in-law Lori, son- in-law Scott Linehan, as well as eighteen grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
Bob was a family man who was seldom seen without a pick, hammer, or trouting rod. He always had a joke or story to tell. Wherever Bob was laughter followed. A hardworking man, life well lived.
A special thank you to Dr. Kay for her compassionate care as well as the staff of PTE. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion third floor north for treating dad like family.
Cremation has taken place, visitations will take place at Holloway’s Funeral Home in Whitbourne on Saturday, August 8th from 7:00pm – 9:00pm and Sunday, August 9th from 2:00pm – 5:00pm. A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
“True character for a man can be measured by the friends he has.” We will miss you Bob, buddy.
To Bob’s Family and Friends, I send my condolences to you at this sad time. And yes he was a character always joking, a great trait to portray unto others. The memories he made with people will linger in us all. May he rest in peace now!
