  • Smith, Janet.  June 22, 1929 – July 26, 2017…. age 88 years. . Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on July 26, 2017, Janet Smith of Norman’s Cove.
    Predeceased by husband Carl, son Derrick, parents Lucy and Richard Newhook, brothers and sisters: Gorden, Albert, Rachel, Emma and Cecil. 
    Leaving to mourn with heavy hearts her children:  Earl (Sharon), Harvey, Reg (Monica), Pheobe (Larry), Jenny (Darryl), Debbie (Gary). Grandchildren: Todd, Craig, Colleen,  Derrick (Tina), Carl (Patricia), Shane (Tish), Jenny (Andrew),  Kayla (Chad),  Ryan (Rebecca), Janet (Ron),  Carly. Brother-in-law Reg (Mary). She will be lovingly remembered by Deborah (Robin), special nephew Andy and her ten great grandchildren whom she adored.
    Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home on Friday at 7:00 – 9:30.pm Resting at  The  Church of The Good  Shepherd Anglican Church Saturday from 10:00 am to time of funeral. Funeral service will be held on Saturday , July 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm.
    Inurnment at the Anglican Cemetery, Norman’s Cove.
    Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to a Charity of One’s Choice. She was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt who we will miss dearly. ” A Mother’s Love Is A Blessing”

    Smith Family, sorry to hear of your mothers passing,Aunt Janet was like a mother to me. I loved her very much,your mom was always closed to my heart,she will remain in my heart forever. I wish I could be there, my prayers are with you all,

    To the Family: Sorry to hear of Janet's passing. I remember many nice chats with her when she visited my sister Robina and her husband Albert Newhook. My children fondly remember her. Keeping the family in our prayers in this difficult times. Seth and Barbara Faulkner, Bishop's Falls.

    Harv and family, I just now saw in the obituaries at Holloway's that your mother had passed away last summer. I am sorry for your loss. Irene says to say hello from her.
