  • WHITE – Gladys. July 24, 1924 – March 24, 2019. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Aunt Gladys White at the age of 94 years. Predeceased by her husband Garfield White, son Donald White, brothers John Thomas Newhook, Ernest Newhook, William Newhook and Frank Newhook. Leaving to mourn with heavy hearts, sister Bessie Newhook, brother Clarence (Cathy) Newhook, her niece and caregiver Sally Pike and a special friend Junior Power, her sister-in-law Gladys Newhook. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of nephews, nieces, family and friends. Resting at the Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Norman’s Cove on Tuesday March 26, 2019 from 2 pm to 9 pm. Wednesday 10am to 12 noon. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday March 27, 2019 at 2 pm. Donations in her memory may be made to The Good Shepherd Church Cementary Fund.Internment to be announced at a later date.

    So saddened to hear of Gladys's passing. She was a wonderful lady and a very dear friend of my mother. I will always remember her big heart and wonderful sense of humour. Dad (Cle), Gar, Gladys and mom shared a cabin near Fairhaven Road called the Fishbox. They would drag supplies in from the TCH in an old fishbox. She and my mom (Carrie) shared so much laughter and she will remain forever in my heart. Rest in Peace.
