  • Fahey (nee Smith), Doreen 1945-2019

    Passed away suddenly and peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2019, aged 73 years, at her home in BELLEVUE, NL, in the presence of her loving husband of 34 years Thomas (Tom). Predeceased by her parents Jacob and Julia Smith and all of her brothers and sisters.

    Leaving to mourn with her husband are her siblings’ children and their families, Tom Peters (Navi), Larry McCarthy, Gordon McCarthy(Jackie), Doreen Thorne(Dave), Trudy Power(Art), Derrick McCarthy(Marie), Pauline Power(Ron), Debbie Ranger(Tony), Connie Smith(Roland), Derrick Smith, Larry Brace, Katina Mandavia (Diku), Albert Smith, Terry Smith, Dave Smith(Jennie), Gerald Smith, Ronald Smith,  Brenda Smith, Avalon Smith, Elwood Smith(Jenny) Ina Brace (Angus), David Smith (Norma), Miriam Hoskins (Gerard), Louise Smith, Beverley Cull (Peter), David Power (Donna), Paul Power (Lorraine), Richard Power, Cindy Meadows, Marina Drake.

    Also mourning are her brothers-in law and sisters-in law and their families, Betty Smith, Max Brace, Jean Smith, Beatrice Smith, Ann Walsh (Tom), Frank Fahey, Wendy Fahey, Michael Fahey(Gloria), Evelyn Newhook(Winston), Edward Fahey(Lisa), Felix Fahey(Wende), and aunt Georgina Bellows.

    Left with fond and loving memories her very special friend Carol Smith.

    A celebration of her life will be held at the Ascension Anglican Church, CHANCE COVE, NL beginning at 12 noon on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment to take place at a later date.

    Donations in her memory can be made to the Ascension Church, Chance Cove.

    I met Doreen only several times while i was visiting my sister Phoebe..She was a very caring person and always loving...Tom will miss her terribly and he is in my thoughts and prayers....Rest in peace Doreen.

    My deepest sympathy goes to all the Fahey's, Smith's and all her family. She will be missed by many especially by my uncle Tom. May he find peace that he was her world. God bless all. RIP aunt Doreen.

    I have many beautiful memories of this special lady while growing up in Bellevue. Condolences to all the families. RIP Doreen.

    I remember the many visits and phone calls that Doreen made to the house . She had a very kind and gentle heart, may she fly high with the angels. My condolences goes to the McCarthy and Fahey family.
