  • Shirley M. Collett   August 29, 1931 of Fair Haven passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Lions Manor, Placentia.

    Predeceased by her husband Chesley, daughters Ruby and Cynthia.  Leaving to mourn with loving memories are her 4 sons and 3 daughters.  Hubert (Carrie), Harold (Laurie), Joe (Debbie), Paul (Paula), Barbara (Cyril), Geraldine (Gerard), Sherry (Shawn).  15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.  3 sisters; Gertie (Hallett), Lillian, Phylis (Ernest) and 1 brother; Elwood (Mabel).

    Visitation will take place Thursday and Friday, April 18 and 19 from 2-4pm at St. Paul’s By the Sea United Church, Fair Haven.  Celebration of her life will take place Saturday, April 20 at 2pm.

    As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to St. Paul’s By the Sea United Church, Fair Haven.

    Special Thank-you to the staff of Lions Manor for the comforting and wonderful care given to our mother for her short stay there.

    Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hollaway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne.

    To the family of Mrs Shirley Collett :sorry to hear of the passing of your dear Mom who was a lovely person .Our condolences go to all especially our sister in law Barbara and her husband Cyril who’s my brother and to their family ... so sad to hear of your loss it’s never easy to lose a loved one but we pray it we’ll comfort you each one that your loved one is not suffering in pain or discomfort she is with the angels in heaven God Bless you all now and in the weeks and months to come.love you .
