    October 29, 1954- October 28, 2019
With heavy hearts we regret to announce the passing of Terance (Terry) George Rose on October 28, 2019, age 64 years.  Predeceased by his father, George, sister, Shelia and brother in law, Roger.
Leaving to mourn, the brightest light of his life, his wife Shona of 31 years. His four daughters, as he lovingly referred to as “his girls”, Terri Lynn (Todd), Jennifer ( Roben), Chantal (Brian) and Kaitlyn.
Five grandchildren, who were his pride and joy,  Ryan, Evan, Dylan, Isabelle and Layla. His mother, Anita and sister’s, Lorraine ( Gerry), Una ( Keith), brother, Dennis and brother in law, Frank.
His in laws, Carrie and Stewart and sister in law’s, Joanne ( Dean), Beverley, his nieces and nephews along with a large circle of close family and friends.
Terry found joy in the simple things in life;   He loved spending time with his family and friends and in the outdoors, especially fishing. He was a hard worker who dedicated over 30 years of service to NL Power and proudly continued his career as a business manager with the IBEW 1620.
We could not have asked for a better husband, father and son. He will be lovingly remembered by those who were fortunate to be a part of his life and he will remain forever in our hearts.
A special thank you is extended to Dr. Sean Murphy for his personal touch during this difficult time.
Visitation will take place at Holloway’s Funeral Home in Whitbourne

In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die; where you invest your love, you invest your life.

I had the privilege of working with Terry during negotiations with Newfoundland Power and then directly while in the contact centre and human resources. He was a kind and considerate man and a pleasure to know. While we were not always on the same side of the fence, we worked well together and I considered him a friend. I am so sorry to learn of his passing and send my heart felt condolences to his family and to all his friends and colleagues. Lynn Mowbray

Shona...I cannot find the words to say how sad I’m feeling for you at your deep loss. I always found pleasure in the way you treated each other with such heartfelt love and respect. It showed in so many ways. When we’d see a homeless person on our travels, if you had no change on you, all you had to say was, Terry, and his hand went automatically to his pocket and he’d take out money to give. He was that kind of person ... kind, gentle, giving but to name a few. He will be missed. Know that we are thinking and praying for you and your girls, and all his family. The many wonderful memories you made during your 31 years will help get you through this sad time. Remember, those we love don’t go away, they walk beside us every day. Unseen, Unheard but ever near, still loved, still missed and always dear. May God Bless you.
