  • It is with profound sadness that the family of Gordon Bruce Thorne announces his unexpected passing on December 30, 2022 at the age of 72 years.

    Leaving to mourn are his beloved wife, Phyllis, their daughter Natasha, son-in-law Harry and 2 treasured grandsons Rylan and Gage. Predeceased by father Edmund Thorne, stepmother Ruby Thorne and brothers John and Charles Thorne as well as niece Melissa Thorne. Leaving behind his mother Minnie Thorne, brothers Robert (Roberta), David (Doreen), Wilfred (Vicki), his sisters Elizabeth Briant (Brad), and Rosemary (Osvaldo Croci), as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and close friends.

    Resting at  Faith United Church, Thornlea Friday, Jan 6, 2023  from 7:00 – 9:00 pm. Funeral will take place on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at Faith United Church, Thornlea at 2 pm.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Faith United Church, Thornlea.

    Sorry for your loss, our condolences to all of the family. I worked with Bruce for many years in Local Union 740. Bruce was such a quiet and gentle soul.

    Phyllis, Natasha, Harry and family just heard that Bruce had passed we always had a great little chad with you both and they were always so nice Bruce was one of a kind in a very nice way, he will certainly be missed by all that knew him. We are so sorry to here this sad and unexpected news, we certainly want to send our sincere condolences to you all.
